Dressing / Stuffing 


Ingredients:

 

  • 2 Loaves of bread. 

  • Tear apart the night before to let dry.

  • 3 stalks of celery. (1 C.)

  • Sage - to taste. (1 t.)

  • Giblets Or just buy turkey or chicken broth. Easier but will miss the cut up giblets in the dressing.

  • Option: 1 onion (1/2 C.)

  • Option: 1 C. Margarine (1 stick)

Directions:

 

  1. Cook giblets. Broth needs to be about 2" above meat. Use 5-6 bullion cubes.

  2. Add poultry broth if necessary. (Will need about 4 C. of juice)

  3. Pour liquid into bread.

  4. Grease baking dish.

Notes:

 

 

  • Have a couple of cans of broth handy if needed quickly to add to mix.

  • When baking in dish: cover at 350 for 1 hour and uncovered for 15 min.

  • Use a larger (cake pan or casserole dish) dish to bake as to get more of a crust.

  • Giblets Or just buy turkey or chicken broth. Easier but will miss the cut up giblets in the dressing.

  • Try the onion and butter in the broth.
