Gwynette's Homemade Frozen Biscuits 


Ingredients:

 

  • 5 C Self R Flour

  • 1/2 C Warm water

  • 1/4 C Sugar

  • 2 C Buttermilk

  • 1 C Crisco (1 stick)

  • 1 t. Baking Soda

  • 2 pkgs Yeast 

Directions:

 

  1. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.

  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water.

  3. Blend together flour, sugar and Crisco. 

  4. Add yeast mixture and buttermilk mixture.

  5. Mix well

  6. Store in refrig. until chilled.

  7. Roll out dough on a floured board.

  8. Cut biscuits and place on a greased sheet.

  9. Brush with buttermilk.

  10. Put in freezer bags to store in freezer.

Notes:

 

When baking: Remove only needed amount from freezer and bake in a 450 oven.
