This year I had three 3 gallon steel pots to get snow in. Left other two by door outside until needed. I did make enough to store in freezer containers for later. A 3/4 full steel pot is about a double batch. Had 9 gallons of snow, ended up 2.5 gallons of product. I would make up two batches at a time. This way you can mix up, put in container, and put in freezer before it gets to soft. Always start with less snow in the mixing pot than what you'll need. It is easier to add of spoon of snow to the mix, than having to add more liquid and stir the whole batch to mix well again. Chocolate Snow Ice Cream Options: 1/2 C. Powdered Cocoa. (tried using 3/4 C. per batch, I thought it was a little to chocolaty and bitter) Mix the cocoa with the sugar before entering into the liquid ingredients. I would recommend sifting. I still had lumps of cocoa in the ice cream batch after mixing dry, mixing in with liquid, and mixing in with ice cream! Suggestion found: Try using a half banana to make creamier.
